Third day of Filming

The third day of filming was our last day. As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, we decided to use our friend's dads' car to film our beginning scene. So we all met up to film it. We met up in our friend's neighborhood to film in their culdesac. What we wanted to film was the car rolling up with its sirens on, the detective (Jacob) exiting the car and then the car turning on its sirens. After that, we wanted the detective to bend over and almost look like he is looking at something on the floor which would be the dead body. We were really happy with the lights and sounds because they looked really authentic on camera. I was capturing the sound of the sirens using the voice recorder on my phone, we had a few people working on the camera work and making sure things run smoothly, and Jacob was the actor for this scene and he was exiting the car. I don't know if we were getting used to filming, but we were able to film this scene on the first try.  One issue we faced was that I left my tripod at home, so we had to film this scene by hand instead of using the tripod like we did with the interrogation scenes. We were really lucky to have gotten it on our first because we did not want to wake up the neighborhood with the loud sirens. We, unfortunately, did not get any pictures to show the experience because of how quick of a filming session it was, but you will be able to see that scene as our first clip in the movie opening.
