Updated storybaord
As you can see from our updated storyboard we have made some changes to our original plan. Overall, both storyboards were quite similar. We used the same ideas, but changes some of the ways they were supposed to be executed. Our first scene was very similar except we used one investigator and did not use a dead body. We kept the idea of having low-key lighting throughout the interrogation the same. We also kept the idea of using the over- the- shoulder shot for the interrogations. Initially, we were going to have 2 cops, but in our project, we used only one. We decided not to use long shots for the mugshots instead we used mid shots to capture the picture. We did not include the portion of someone telling the characters to turn when taking their mugshots because we decided that hearing the person talking and camera sounds may be a little too loud and distracting. To save time, we didn't include the panning shot of the investigation room like we intended to do. We included the portion of the audio describing the characters, but we decided that one of the main characters should be the narrator. We kept the idea of using over-the-shoulder shots when listening to the interrogation in order to capture the emotions of the characters. We decided not to blur out the background of the video during the interrogation because we wanted to make sure that the audience can see the location and the detective's shoulder. We originally decided to change the light depending on the character to highlight the difference between them, but we thought that it would make more sense for it to stay the same since they are at the police department. We still liked the idea so we showcased their differences threw color theory, their costumes, and expressions. We got rid of the idea of having an over-the-head camera angle because we thought that would be very difficult to pull off because half of our group is quite tall. As stated before in previous blogposts, we got rid of the accusation scene at the end of the movie because of time constraints. We did leave a lot out, but we did include something new. We decided to have Jacob's character walk up to the police department, in the beginning, to set the scene and introduce the location.
