Editing Progress + Problems
We have now made the outline of our project. We have put in the clips of the cop's scenes, intro scene mugshots, and the interrogation scene. We found some transitions we could use to ensure that everything looks smooth and not choppy. DaVinci Resolve had been giving some of us some issues so we are thinking of transferring what we have to iMovie instead because some of us are more comfortable with that software. What we have left is to extend our film because we are under the 2-minute limit, adding the title sequence, including the production company name, our positions, and the description of the mugshots. We were unsure how to use text on DaVinci Resolve, so we are looking for tutorials on how to do it or other software to do it on like iMovie. We noticed that using DaVinci Resolve can be inefficient because you have to save all the files apart from the project on your computer or else you can not see it and it says "Media Offline". That was definitely giving my group member and me some difficulty. We were able to put the narration audio over the clips, but we just need to add music or some sort of background sound. As a group, I think we are going to make the decision to move to iMovie.
