Second Day of Filming

For our second day of filming, we decided to come together at our local library to film some scenes. We invited one of our friends who had prior experience in film to come out and help us in order to get the best quality camera work we could get. We filmed most of our scenes on our second day. This included some interrogation scenes and our narration. Our friend brought his mic and we were able to record our narrator 'Jacob' introducing our main characters.
We first decided to film one of the opening scenes which was Jacob's character walking into the police station. We did this by using a drone and having it follow. There was construction going on at the time so it was a bit loud, but we were able to get the shot very quickly. We had to make sure that Jacob was walking in character and right when taking the shot a cop car drove right in front of us.
We originally arrived at the library at around 10:30 and right when Tyler and Jacob were about to secure the room for us, some man walked in with his children! Long story short we had to patiently wait for him to finish before we could get in the room and start filming. Also, we had no idea that they charged us to print at the library either, but after dealing with those issues... We could start filming!
We had our own little production team going on. While one of us was filming we had either playing the cop, one on the computer recording audio, and the other helping out with the camera work. We found that this was the perfect way for us to get the job done efficiently because I had to leave by 2. Thankfully we were able to film all the interrogation scenes, take the mugshot pictures, and record the narration as well. We were very productive!
The only thing left to film after this was the cop car... Can't wait!
