Title Sequence

We knew when thinking about when creating the title sequence, we wanted it to allude to what our movie would be about which is murder... That led us in the direction of wanting to use the color red, alluding to blood, throughout the sequence. Our title sequence is found at the beginning of our film when Jacob's character, "Jason Smith" is walking to the police station. As mentioned before, when truly thinking of the genre of our film we knew we didn't want some dull, simple title sequence. We wanted something that will evoke horror or fear in our audience and make them want to know more about our film. So, we went with red bloody letters to do just that. We thought a clever way of utilizing a symbol in our sequence would be to place it in the "O". We chose a magnifying glass to appeal to the mystery and detective work that goes on within our film. Since our movie does surround the death of someone, we included a skull inside the magnifying glass. it might be hard to see but it serves as almost an easter egg of who can find it. Tyler had come up with this idea and we were all on board with it. We actually did not have any first draft of the title, once Tyler pitched this idea to us we knew that this was the right way to go. We solely wanted the title sequence to include only the title of the movie. The credits and production company name will be following it.
